Technical Sharing session

HL7 Singapore organised an important HL7 Singapore Technical Sharing session on 23rd of June 2011 from 3 PM- 6 PM

Objective:
To share with the public on -
• Singapore’s Logical Information Model (LIM)
• National eXchange Data Specifications (NXDS) for HL7v2
• “HL7 v3 Demystified” & "HL7 v3 Illustrated"

Singapore is on the journey to a National Electronic Health Record (NEHR).
This clinically-driven journey is being supported by the National Standards Programme, within which the Singapore Logical Information Model (LIM) and compliant National eXchange Data Specifications (NXDS) are being developed.

The Singapore LIM is a clinically-driven and validated implementation-independent model of the healthcare information to be exchanged within Singapore. NXDS supports two ITS (Implementation Technology Specification) format – LXML (Logical XML) for SOA implementation and HL7v2 for MLLP transport.

The use of HL7v2 is standardized with Singapore specific specification and enable inherent flat structured HL7v2 to represent highly hierarchical and semantically expressive information modelled in LIM. The concept of LIM & related NXDS was presented by member Mr Victor Chai.

The event also introduced HL7 v3 to the local community, presented by members Mr Callum Bir & Lim Thiam Hwa.

The group who attended the event found out what’s brewing at the standards front & engage in lively discussion with the speakers.

Presentation materials are uploaded in Event Page for members (please remember to sign-in!).
