Introducing HL7-Singapore to newcomers

HL7-Singapore 2nd Event (8 April 2011) - inviting & introducing HL7-Singapore to newcomers.
Following the success of the networking event & feedback gathered during the event, we realised there's a need for industry partners to come together more often. Hence, the Technical & Communication sub-committees are inviting all interested parties & technical folks to a follow-up event at FABRIKA again!
8 April gathering:
The gathering on the 8April evening was attended by 14 persons, notably from Deloitte Consulting, Pawaa Software, Mach7 Technologies, IHIS, HP, MOHH, Philips Healthcare, Waban Software, IBM, Oracle. There were interesting discussion on HL7-Singapore activities, inducting new members into the HL7-Singapore, sharing on newer IT technology used in the security space, initiatives & happening around this region & also around the globe.
With this successful 2nd run, the Communication sub-committee will consider having similar events in the near future. Such induction events would help to bridge the understanding for newcomers, ex-members and build rapport with fellow members. With the formation of workgroups, parties who are interested to participate, contribute to the HL7 standards both locally & internationally can come together to exchange knowledge, to understand the Singapore implementation of HL7 and related exchange format and subsequently adopt these in their product development, software design and so on.
